TuChuang AI Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Overview
TuChuang AI (圖創 AI) is a macOS application for guided image generation. It walks you through a short set of professional questions, assembles a precise prompt from your answers, and generates an image through OpenAI's image models. You can also upload a product photo or a reference image, and optionally typeset headline and model-number copy onto the result.
TuChuang AI is provided by Spencer Chiang, trading as NxLayer. It requires macOS 14.0 or later.
The app does not require an account. You do not create a username, password, or profile, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
Information You Provide
Images you upload. Depending on the mode you choose, you may upload a product photo, a style or layout reference image, or a photograph you want restored. These images are sent to our servers and forwarded to OpenAI so that the requested image can be generated or analysed.
Text you type. This includes your image description, the answers you select in the guided questions, and the optional marketing copy you enter (product name, model numbers, specifications, selling points, call to action). This text is sent to our servers and forwarded to OpenAI in the same way.
Generated results. The images produced for you are returned to your Mac. We do not keep them on our servers after they have been delivered, with one exception: if a generation is still running when you close the app, the finished image is held briefly — no longer than 24 hours — so that it can be handed to you when you open the app again.
Subscription and Purchase Information
Generation is a paid feature, sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or Apple ID credentials.
Before you subscribe. The app includes free generations: three in the month you install it, and one in each month after that. To count them once, and only once, our servers store a random identifier that the app creates on your device the first time it runs and keeps in your Mac's Keychain, together with the free generations that have been granted to it and how many have been used. It is not a device identifier or an advertising identifier, and it is not linked to you. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not reset it; the free generations arrive on the first day of each month. If you later subscribe, the same identifier links the two and the subscription's generations are added to the same balance — subscribing never replaces free generations you have not used yet.
To know whether your subscription is active and how many generations you have left, we store the following on our servers:
- The subscription transaction identifier issued by Apple, together with the product identifier, status, and expiry date
- A record of each grant of generations — the free monthly ones and the ones a purchase or renewal adds — and how many have been used
We do not store your name, email address, or payment details, because we do not receive them from Apple.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
- Produce the images you ask for, by forwarding your images and text to OpenAI
- Confirm that your subscription is active and count generations against your balance
- Keep the service reliable, diagnose failed requests, and prevent abuse such as automated bulk requests
We do not use your images or text for advertising, for building a profile about you, or to train AI models. We do not sell your information.
AI Processing and Third-Party Services
OpenAI. Image generation, image analysis, and prompt classification are performed by OpenAI. Your uploaded images and text are forwarded to OpenAI for this purpose and are handled under OpenAI's privacy policy. Content moderation is enabled for every request.
Apple. The App Store processes your subscription payment and manages renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
Cloud infrastructure. Our servers and databases run on a third-party cloud infrastructure provider that stores the subscription and quota records described above on our behalf.
Apart from these providers, and apart from cases where the law requires it, we do not share your information with anyone.
Information Processed Only on Your Mac
The following features run entirely on your device and do not transmit anything to us or to OpenAI:
- Text recognition and layout measurement. When you supply a reference image, the app reads the headline, model numbers, and specifications printed on it, and measures where each line sits, using Apple's Vision framework.
- Copy typesetting. The marketing copy you approve is rendered onto the finished image using Apple's Core Text framework, so model numbers and special characters are typeset rather than drawn by an AI model.
- High-resolution upscaling. The 4× upscale runs locally with Core Image.
Images processed by these steps do not leave your Mac.
Retention
- Uploaded images and text: processed to fulfil your request, then deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
- Generated results: returned to your Mac and not retained on our servers after delivery. If you closed the app while a generation was still running, the finished image is kept for up to 24 hours so it can be delivered when you return, then deleted.
- Subscription and balance records: kept while your subscription is active and for as long afterwards as tax, accounting, or consumer-protection rules require.
- Free-generation record: the random identifier is kept for as long as the app is in service, so that each month's free generations are granted once per installation rather than repeatedly. The record of what was granted, and how much of it has been used, is kept as the account of a balance you may still be entitled to.
- Error logs: kept for up to 30 days. Logs record request timing, mode, size, and outcome — never image content or your full text.
Security
All communication between the app and our servers, and between our servers and OpenAI, uses HTTPS. The OpenAI API key is held only on our servers and is never sent to your device. Server access is limited to what is needed to operate the service.
Children's Privacy
TuChuang AI is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13. Because the app does not require an account, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your Choices and Rights
You can cancel your subscription at any time in System Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not remove records we are required to keep.
You can ask us to delete the subscription and balance records associated with your installation identifier. Because the app has no account, we may ask you for the transaction identifier from your App Store purchase history so that we can locate the right records. Write to [email protected].
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or its data practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a new revision date.
