VideoFrameCut Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

Overview

VideoFrameCut is an iOS app that extracts frames from videos and composes them into short animated video clips using a selection of layout templates and style options.

VideoFrameCut is provided by Spencer Chiang, trading as NxLayer.

Information We Collect

VideoFrameCut does not require account registration and does not collect personal information such as your name or email address.

All video processing — including frame extraction and video generation — happens entirely on your device. No video footage, images, or generated output is sent to any server.

Photos Library Access

The app requests access to your Photos library for two purposes: to allow you to select a source video, and to save the generated output video back to your library. This access is used only when you initiate those actions.

Video and image data accessed from your Photos library is processed locally and is never transmitted outside your device.

Subscription and Payments

VideoFrameCut offers an optional monthly subscription managed entirely through Apple In-App Purchases. NxLayer does not collect, store, or process any payment or billing information. All subscription transactions are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

No Network Requests

VideoFrameCut does not make any network requests as part of its core functionality. The app operates fully offline after installation. No usage data, analytics, or crash reports are collected or transmitted.

Personal Information

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address and any details you choose to include. Support information is used only to respond to your request.

Data Retention and Deletion

All app data — including selected frames and generated videos — is stored only on your device or in your Photos library. NxLayer does not hold any user data on external servers. Deleting the app removes all locally stored app data. Generated videos saved to your Photos library remain there until you delete them manually.
