Podcast Maker is an AI pre-production tool designed for Chinese-language podcast creators in Taiwan. Enter an episode title and the app generates a structured outline, full script, and show notes. With the built-in recording studio, you can go from preparation to recording in one workflow.

AI Content Generation Process

  1. Fill in the Episode Brief — Before generating, expand the Episode Brief panel and fill in what you can: your target audience, your stance or main claim for this episode, personal material and real examples, any points you must mention, and optionally a host persona. You can also set the content focus to depth (one topic drilled through) or breadth (a map across multiple angles). The more you fill in, the more specific and grounded the outline will be. All fields are optional, but leaving them blank means the model has to fill in the gaps on its own.
  2. Generate an outline — Enter an episode title and choose the length and tone. When Recent Data Search is enabled, the AI searches for relevant news from the past three days and generates an outline with a source list. When disabled, it uses the model's existing knowledge for faster generation.
  3. Review the outline — Review and edit the outline if needed, then select Confirm Outline to generate the full script and show notes. The script follows the approved outline and does not add unconfirmed figures or quotations on its own.
  4. Start recording — Enter the recording studio, where the script is displayed as a teleprompter. Recording supports pause and resume and automatically calculates the actual recording duration.

Pricing

Podcast Maker is free to download and use. AI content generation uses a backend service to call the OpenAI API, and estimated costs scale with episode length:

  • Recent Data Search disabled: approximately NT$1 per 4 minutes of episode length (minimum NT$1)
  • Recent Data Search enabled: add approximately NT$4 per episode on top of the above

For example, a 5-minute episode costs roughly NT$2 without search and NT$6 with search. A 20-minute episode costs roughly NT$5 without search and NT$9 with search. These are estimates. Actual costs may vary depending on content complexity.

  • The app requires an internet connection to access the backend service and generate AI content.
  • AI-generated content is provided for reference. Please verify facts before using it.
  • Episode data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app will also delete all stored data.
